History of the Philippines

400 years's History of the Philippines,
Lost to Spin-America-Japan

Philippine Colonization
and Occupation
The Philippines became an actual independent nation only 68 years ago, in 1946. Colonization, which constantly continued since the 16th century, deprived the Philippines of its history and culture, and became the cause of dispute that the same race pointed guns at each other.

The history of the Philippines started to be known to the outside since it was found by Magellan(Ferdinand Magellan) of Spain in 1521. After Magellan's death, Spain started full-scale colonization, since it recognized the Philippines as the optimum trade base.
Spain colonized the Philippines fully 330 years.

In the 19th century, assembled nationalism of the Philippines was connected to the independence struggles against Spain, finally the Philippines declared independence from Spain in 1898. However, when America won the war between America-Spain in 1899, Spain transferred the Philippines to America.
Since then, American  Protestantism also was propagated in the Philippines.

Japanese army marching
under Japanese colonization
of the Philippines
Meanwhile, Japanese army ambushed the Pearl Harbor in 1941 without notice, and started to air-attack everywhere of the Philippines after hours.
Finally, Japanese army completely occupied Manila in Jaruary, 1942, and until 1945, the Philippines was dominated by Japan.

Japan justified domination over the Philippines in the name of ending white persons's domination over Asia, by claiming the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere.
On July 4 in the nest year of 1945, when Japan was defeated, the Philippines finally was liberated from the foreign affectedness which continued for 4 centuries.

Korean Poem "Prelude" by Yun Dong-ju

Yun Dong-ju (1917-1945)

Let me have no shame

Under the heaven

Till I die.

Even winds among the foliage

Pained my heart.

With a heart that sings of the stars,

I'll love all dying things.

And I must fare the path

That's been allotted to me.

Tonight also

The winds sweep over the stars

The Different Attitudes of Japan and Germany

Japan, unlike Germany, has never
sincerely acknowledged its past wrongdoing
Distortion of History... Tipping Japan to the Far Right

Japan has shown no signs of improvement on its track record of the distortion of the past history.

There are growing criticism on Japan never admitting their past history like a runaway locomotive, despite rising concerns of the international community.

The reason of Japan not being able to break away from distorting the history is not irrelevant to the country's political situation.

The dominant analysis of Shinzo Abe who is considered the most right wing figure taken office as Prime Minister last 2012 reads that it is a result of Japan's further tilt to the right.

Because of this, the Abe's administration put great weight on its conservative side to obtain public support. In this process, he repeatedly visited the disputed Yasukuni temple, disputes over Senkaku Islands", denied the existence of comfort women, and make claims to South Korea's islet, Dokdo.

Eventually, not apologizing for historical mistakes, Japan faced a fierce backlash from the international community. There is criticism warning Japan that the consequence for being in denial
and failing to admit to the history of invasions in the past may be the isolation from the international community.

In addition, the Korea-Japan relations does not seem to improve. The case in point is that the last Korea-Japan summit was in December 2011, Japan made their position clear of succeeding the 'Kono discourse." which acknowledged and apologized the coerciveness of comfort women, in order to accomplish the Korea-U.S.-Japan summit last March. But the Ministers' meeting of Korea and Japan which was to discuss the comfort women problem immediately after the summit is not making much progress.

Projections have been made that president Obama's trip to Asia would play a catalytic role in the relations between Korea and Japan. Even after U.S. President Obama's strong remarks about the comfort women issue calling it a "terrible and shocking human rights violations," the gap between Japan and Korea is nowhere near closing. Evident from the non-apologetic behavior of Japan, it seems difficult to improve the Japan-Korea relations unless Japan makes some fundamental changes to their stance.

The problem is that it is not easy to change Japan's fundamental position about the past history. That is, it is difficult for Japan's government, which used 'Strong Japan' as its slogan, to keep the constituents happy by leaning to the right.

Moreover, there is a close relationship between the United States' Asia-conscious foreign policy and Abe regime's conservative swing. The United States focuses on strengthening the alliance with Japan which is pushing ahead to obtain the right of collective self-defence in order to keep the rise of China.

Song Wan Beom, a professor at Korea University's Japan Research Center says, "it is not easy to change the attitude of Japan toward its won history," and he predicted that "the Abe regime will bring up the historical issue again when the Se-Wol-ho incident settles down." Hong Hyeon-ik, a Senior Research Fellow of the Sejong Institute said that "Unless we see a drastic turn of events like the fall of the regime or the United States sets a sanctions against it, Japan's tendency to distort history will not easily change." The influential thinkers with conscience in the international community should continue to inform the public about Japan's anti-human crimes.

Maya Civilization

Why Did the Mayans Disappear in History?
Maya Civilization Reached Improbable Heights and Fell to Ruins

▲ Temple of great jaguar in Tikal, Guatemala
The mysterious splendor of the Maya unfolded against the back drop of rainforests of Central America.
Here, Maya civilization reached improbable heights about 1,300 years and fell to ruins.

The Ancient Mayans were highly advanced in astronomy.
Besides having the concept of Zero, they are possibly the first culture to invent the telescope and map the stars and other phenomena in the night sky applying complex ideas of mathematics.
With this information, they knew how to predict solar eclipses.
They also used astrological cycles to aid in planting and harvesting and developed two calendars.
Based upon their vigesimal numeric system they developed the two main calendars: a ceremonial calendar which is a 260 day calendar, and the vague calendar of 365 days which is more accurate than the Gregorian calendar developed 1,500 years later.
Mayan calendar system had a cycle of 52 solar years. Mayan people interpreted the end of one cycle as the end of the world, and the would move and build new pyramids.

The heightened buzz in modern eschatology several years ago had its root in the Mayan calendar. According to Mayan's calculations based on the longcourt calendar, one baktun contains 144,000 days. They proclaimed their time to be in the 6th baktun of the Great Cycle and recorded their calendar only up to 21 December 2012 of the modern Gregorian Calendar. Based on findings, apocalyptics predicted the end of the world, but that ended up as a mere happening.

▲ The Mayans
Religion was the center of Mayan culture and priests were extremely important in Mayan society. They carried the role of as mediums between common people and gods, and they were also expected to be well educated in astrology and astronomy, which might be one of the reasons for the development of Mayan astronomy.

The Maya universe consisted of three worlds; the underworld, the earth, and the world the above sky. Mayans believed that each world was looked over by gods, and these layers were associated with the pyramid. For this reason you easily find the temple for gods everywhere in Tikal ruins in Guatemala and Chichen Itza in Mexico.

Mayan scriptures of divination describes the popol Vuh, the creator who made mankind from maize flour by mixing it with his blood. In a way of showing appreciation and pleasing the gods, Mayans sacrificed human blood. Inscribed stones in Mayan temples bear witness to the practice of human sacrifice. Generally, only prisoners of high status or aristocrats were made human sacrifice. Before taken to the altar, the prisoners had to go through many rituals including fasting to be prepared fit for a sacrifice.

Mayans worshiped the sun, rain the moon, Jaguars, snakes, maize and many other objects as gods. Featured serpent and Chac, the god of rain often appears in the temples of later Mayan cities. For example, a temple for Kukulkan in Chichen Itza has large snakehead sculptures engraved on the base of the staircase. In the spring and fall a play of light and shadow creates the appearance of a snake that gradually undulates down the stairway of the pyramid. This temple was dedicated to offering human sacrifices in the form of heart extraction, similar to Aztec priests tearing out the victims' heart when they made human sacrifices to their god of sun.

Originating in the Yucat around 2,600 B.B., Maya civilization rose to prominence around A.D. 500~600 in present day southern Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize and El Salvador covering almost 500,000 km².  It started to decline after the 7th century when Mayan moved further inland from Yucat because of deforestation and the Canibbean invasion. After the 10th century, one of the "Halach Uinic," living god moved back to Yucat and the Maya were integrated into the Toltec Maya civilization did go through a brief renaissance, met its fall after the 13th century. Theories diverge on what caused the fall of Maya; the Mayapan or the Aztec advancing tinto Mayan land.

Most of the Mayan cities had fallen to ruin and were overtaken by Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century. After missionaries arrived from Spain, most of the Mayan cities had fallen to ruin and were overtaken by Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century. After missionaries arrived from Spain, most of the sacred images and manuscripts were burned by the Spanish clergy. Years later, parts of Maya's mystery was unveiled when Mayan hieroglyphic were discovered carved on stone walls.

The Korean Letter, Hangul

Hangul, The Korean Letter
by the King Sejong
Hangul, the Korean letter system was first proclaimed by the King Sejong of Chosun Dynasty on October 9th, 1446.
At that time the official written language  was Chinese letters about which most common people had difficulties to learn.
Thus the King Sejong decided to make an easier language system, a series of phonetic symbols.
Such that, the Hangul is very scientific and easy to learn.
It consists of 24 symbols of vowels and consonants, which many linguists praise as the best language of the world.
Chinese letters are hard to learn because they are a collection of semantic symbols, an ideograph.
Even though the Japanese letter system is a kind of phonetic one, it can make a complete sentence only with some Chinese letters.
On the other hand 10 vowels and 14 consonants of Hangul can make more than 8,000 sounds.

In this global era, the Hangul is getting more interests from worldwide.
The Hangul was registered in the UNESCO World Heritage list, and some linguists in the academic conference in France several years ago suggested the Hangul should be a universal language.
In addition, many universities and colleges of US and Australia adopted the Hangul as their second foreign language.

It is also recognized that a computer can process seven times more efficiently when using Korean letters than doing with Japanese.
Most Koreans are very proud of this Hangul.
We designated the Hangul Day for the date when it was first proclaimed.
Korea is the only ceremony in the world to celebrate the birth of the language.

How about you learn this language really scientific and easy to learn?

Korean instruments "Gayageum"

Korean musical instruments

The gayageum is a type of zither with 12  strings over a soundboard made of paulownia wood. Each string is supported by its own moveable bridge, called an anjok(in Korean), that is goose foot. The strings are sounded by plucking them with the fingers of the right hand while vibrato and other effects are added by manipulating the strings below the bridge with the left hand. The sound of the gayageum is clear and elegant, and today it is the most popular of the traditional Korean musical instruments.

National Gugak Center

Today, the gayageum is a traditional Korean zither-like string instrument, with twelve strings, though some more recent variants have 21 or other numbers of strings. It is probably the most well-known traditional Korean musical instrument. It is similar to other Asian instruments, including the Chinese guzheng, the Japanese koto, the Mongolian yatga, and the Vietnamese đan tranh.

Korean Food, Bean Curd

The Origin of Tofu(bean curd)
Today, I  will introduce about the origin of tofu(bean curd) is good for your health.

In ancient times, there lived a young spiritual practitioner, who attended an enlightened  master. The young practitioner cared for the needs of the enlightened master with great devotion, preparing meals for him, farming the land, gathering fruits from the mountains, and collection firewood.

By the time the enlightened master had reached the age of eighty, he could no longer eat properly because of his bad teeth.
The young practitioner's sole concern was to serve his master well, and seeing him unable to eat anything but porridge for several years, he grew perplexed. He began to wonder what he could do to provide his master with better food.

One day, instead of serving him porridge as usual, he served his teacher steamed rice that he had chewed beforehand. However, as he chewed the rice, its sweerness was lost, and he felt sorry that he could not give the rice to his master in its wholeness.

Again, he pondered on whether there was any nutritious food that his teacher would be anle to eat easily. He kniw that the soy bean was full of nutrition, so he noiled soy beans, pounded them up and pressed them together to create a soft and delicious food. The food he created was tofu, the health food which is popular today.

Eating tofu is very good for your health why tofu is low in fat and calories and tofu have a lot of calcium. Also eating tofu helps make your muscles stronger, because Tofu is a wonderful source of protein.
Enjoy Tofu for Your Health^.^*

The Eternal Envoy of Peace, Ahn Jung-Geun Ⅱ

The trial of prince ITO's murderer
by Charles Morrimer

"... ... while Ahn Jung-geun openly professed his delight. His only fear through all the speeches for the defence was that the Court might be induced to let him go free. He was ready for martydom, ready, nay, cager, to "give up the dear habit of living." He had the here's crown almost within his grasp, and he left the Court proudly. Has this cause celebre, so beautifully conducted, so wisely judged, ended as a score for the murderer and his misguided fellow-patriots after all?"

<A JAPANESE "CAUSE CELEBRE" The trial of prince ITO's murderer by Charles Morrimer>

This was the testimony of a foreign reporter, Charles Morrimer who witnessed the trial.
As could be seen from the article, Ahn Jung-Geun was willing to sacrifice his life far peace.
Where did this courage come from? Choi Bongryong, a professor at Dalian University explained that the source of
"On Peace in East Asia" came from the Confucian ideology he learned during his youth that says one must first be able to discipline oneself in order to rule the country and the world and the ideology of providence from the Catholic church, Professor Choi explains that the influence of these two ideologies became the root of his theory of peace in the Est.
That is, the ideas of coexistence and a win-win strategy that could be found in both ideologies became the stepping stones for Ahn to become an envoy of Peace.

The relationship between Korea, China and Japan right now is unstable due to what happened in the past, territorial disputes, and tension that has been accumulating over small and big matters. However, if we look at the world with a broader viewpoint and think about what would be the most beneficial, the day three nations will be working closely together is not too far away. It is a fact that some groups have voiced disapproval of a common currency for the three nations. However, when looking at the EU, although there are various languages and cultures, it is still, as  it has been in the past, France, Germany, and Spain. The synergy effect is amplified when various nations, their histories and cultures come together to form a foundation. What one must pay careful attention to is the relationship between the European nations such as Germany and France. In the past during World WarⅡ, Germany committed a grave mistake, but it sought for the forgiveness from the nations that were victimized and is doing its best in playing its role as a member of the union. This is why Europe today is not suffering from instability but is able to maintain security and peace.

Ahn Jung-Geun also had hoped Japan would quickly admit to its faults and unite with Korea and China to become the strongest nation. It is with this thought in mind that he advocated the theory of East Peace.

A Pioneer of World Peace, Ahn Jung Geun Ⅱ

Ahn Jung Geun,
a Pioneer of World Peace,

Alerts through the Unfinished
"The Theory of East Peace"

▲ The Bank of Korea(Joseon) in Harbin   -The source of photograph : Geulmaru-

At the time of 1910 (the year of Kyeongsul), when Japan was firing up the ambition of aggression by gaining Joseon(Korea) as a foothold, he criticized the invasion policy explicitly shown by Japan, insisted on amending and tried to alert Japanese administrators of the ambition. These contents are included in An Eung-chil Yeoksa, "The History of An Eung-chil," and Dongyang-Pyeonghwaron(The Theory of East Peace) in Ahn's prison cell.

Although the autobiography An Eung-chil Yeoksa was completed, for "The Theory of East Peace", which is a collection of articles, only the 'Preface' and 'Jeon-gam1 "were written. The rest of the book is unfinished with only chapter headings given; "Hyeon-sang 2,"  "Olk-seon 3," "Mun-kap." At the time, An Joong-Geon asked for the postponement of the execution for about a month to complete the book, and the permission was granted. However, the promise was not kept. The sole purpose of Ahn Joong-Geun was to protect the independence of Korea and the peace of the East. He was looking ahead to world peace, which would start from the peace in the East.

What was it that Ahn Jung-Geun wanted to leave to Asia and moreover the world through "The Theory of East Peace"? In ambiguous the Declaration of Independence and the First Constitution of Korea which was established on March 1st, on 1919(Kiminyeon) based on his book should be seen as closely related.

The preamble of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea resolute as follows: "We, the people of Korea, proud of a resplendent history and traditions dating from time immemorial, upholding the cause of the provisional Republic of Korea Government born of the March First Independence Movement of 1919 and the democratic ideals of the April Nineteenth Uprising of 1960 against injustice, having assumed the mission of democratic reform and peaceful unification of our homeland and having determined to consolidate national unity with justice, humanitarianism and brotherly love, and to destroy all social voices and injustice, and to afford equal opportunities to every person and provide for the fullest development of individual capabilities in all fields, including political, economic, social and cultural life by further strengthening the basic free and democratic order conducive to private initiative and public harmony...  To elevate the quality of life for all citizens and contribute to lasting world peace and the common prosperity of mankind, and thereby to ensure security, liberty and happiness for ourselves and our posterity forever."

Lee Tae-Jin, an emeritus professor at Seoul National University (former Chair of the National History Compilation Committee) in the "2010 International Conference Commemorating Centenary of the Patriotic Deed of Martyr Ahn Jung-Geun" stated that "The idea of Ahn Jung-Geun expressed in "The Theory of East Peace" has achieved the future-oriented result domestically. The coexisting relationship that assures in dependent survival as the base of the world peace which he mentions in the book is also expressed in the 1919 Declaration of Independence as "Gonjon-Dongsang Gwon (the happiness of humanity. Ahn Jung-Geun's "The Theory of East Peace" written in jail was a pioneering achievement that proposed the world which other scholars were feeling keenly of its necessity after the forced annexation."

The Korean peninsula is still left as the only divided country in the world. The Middle East and landlocked states are also suffering from civil wars. The world today is urgently crying out for peace. "The Theory of East Peace" which the pioneer Ahn Jung-Geun had left incomplete emphasizes the cooperation between the Asian and world community. It sees that what leads the oriental peace advancing world peace is the realization of the alliance body of states that assures the independence of nations and an equal relationship between parties.

a Pioneer of World Peace,

(The Theory of East Peace)

                    ▲ Ahn Jung-Geun's left hand▲
He cut his fourth finger for independence struggle.

1909 July 6, about 4 months had passed since Japan decided to annex Joseon dynasty in the cabinet meeting. October 26, in front of the Harbin station in China, Ito Hirobumi fell on the spot his by a bullet from the gun of Ahn Joong-geun, the Korean civil army's chief of staff. This was a significant event that shook the entire East Asia. Ahn Jung-geun, who we know as a here that killed Ito Hirobumi, the enemy of the Korean nation. However,  Ahn Jung-geun shooting Ito was a part of the practice based on "The Theory of East Peace" which came from his self-consciousness. At the time, Harbin station was the center of the mideast railways, and the shooting incident of Ito drew a big attention from the world society.

After Ahn Joong-geun's Harbin attack against Japanese imperialism, Japanese military government swiftly followed suit with its unilateral trial of Ahn Joong-geun while proclaiming they abide by the international law. October 30, a few days after the incident, Ahn Jung-geun enumerated 15 clauses of reason why he shot Ito during the first prosecutor's interrogation. In his note he revealed in the 12th clause that "Ito disturbed the Oriental peace. Ever since the Russo-Japanese wars he proclaimed that he would protect Korea's independence but he drove out the emperor of Korea. Those were the opposite result from the initial declaration, so the 20 million people of Korea were infuriated."
Japan moved Ahn Joong-geun to the Lushun Prison in China on November 3 but continued with the interrogation. On February 7, 1910, they started the public trial and after four revisions, Ahn was given a death sentence on the 14th. Shicano Dakumiru, a Japanese scholar pointed out in 1994 through his "Theory of An Joong-geun's Innocence," that "such judgement is completely unfair and unlawful, and he should have been acquitted."

"The Theory of East Peace" is an unfinished book regarding the fulfillment fo Oriental peace that An Jung-geun wrote in jail in March of 1910 waiting for the death penalty. It is told that a Japanese prison guard lowered his head when Ahn Joong-geun wrote Dongyang-Pyeonghwaron(The Theory of East Peace) was an admonition towards Japanese Imperialism, which changed the world into an aggressive war zone, along with the Nazism in Germany and Fascism in Italy.

World Peace beyond Korea

Dreaming of World Peace
beyond Korea

Source:<Peace and Unification> Part, from Geulmaru

We all dream of reunification and peace beyond you and me, religions, societies, nations and ideologies.

Dissensions lead to disasters, but reunification and peace bring joy and happiness and we as human beings long for joy and happiness.

If one looks at books like Hwandangogi(a book that narrates the ancient history of Korea), ancient writings, and the classic texts, people peacefully lived in a paradise but they were scattered and started to fight due to their wrongdoings.

However their original nature is to pursue unity and peace and we have always yearned for peace.

There are many peace campaigns and demonstrations for reunification and peace.

This blog( World of Love, Peace, Freedom) has decided to look closely at a person who advocated reunification and peace and his ideology.

To be continued next time ......

Man Hee Lee's leadership

peace advocate,
Chairman Man Hee Lee

It is my pleasure to introduce to you the greatest peace advocate, Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL, in a global village that Korea has ever produced.

  • HWPL : Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light

He is the father of peace to all youth, and the president of heaven to all those who want peace, and he is fulfilling the heavenly culture on this earth.
Chairman Man Hee Lee is truly Peace Advocate what the world had been waiting to achieve world peace on earth.

First of all, I was surprised, with the news of the peace agreement between the nations of Mindanao in the Philippines and the Catholic Islamic community. In Mindanao there was the 40 year war between the Muslim and Catholic communities. Through Chairman Man Hee Lee's leadership to bring peace in Mindanao, the citizens of Mindanao were able to see the change in their nation from death to life
I was truly touching. I have seen that little wriggling like these will eventually pervade the entire world with peace.

Chairman Lee's world peace activities and thought was the best that mankind could do for world peace. I guess the true meaning for the complete cessation of war is being rid of the root of evil, the reason for war, only through the answer to peace which the heaven helps make possible the cessation of war, and achieve the era of peace that all mankind have longed for peace. We have desired materials to cease war and achieve world peace exists. Now, the world is taking interest in Chairman Lee's next steps, and are hoping for world peace.
In my estimation, in spite of his great age of eighty-four, the 14 world peace tours, there have been many obstacles, but Chairman Lee never gave up rain or shine, collection the materials of peace one by one, bearing the magnificent fruit as today.

Chairman Lee, who has devoted his whole life to the work of peace, is the true entity of peace on this earth.

Chairman Man Hee Lee is the greatest peace advocate in a global village that Korea has ever produced.
He is the father of peace to all youth, and the president of heaven to all those who want peace, and he is fulfilling the heavenly culture on this earth.
He is truly Peace Advocate what the world had been waiting to achieve world peace on earth.

I sincerely hope to achieve 'world peace', and leave it as an inheritance for our children and future generations.
I think that there is nothing greater or more precious in this world.
So I take much interest in Chairman Lee's world peace activities and thought.
I am going to be Peace Advocate in the future, too.

Thank you.

Luigi Colani

A Living Legend
in the World of Design
"Luigi Colani"

All inspiration for designs in this world stem from nature
Colani, a world-wide design legend in his 80s, rides on a shark shaped aircraft he designed.
He is involved in building an eco-friendly city in China.
He said by re-creating the Korean traditional culture, Korea could be a strong nation in the world of design. Colani, coined as a designer from another world, has changed the sceneries of life.

Luigi Colani was born in 1928 in Berlin, Germany.
He studied sculpture in undergraduate school and aerodynamics in graduate school.
He has never studied design academically.
He has never learned design in an academic setting.

As a young man, his desire was to combine art and science.

His father was a stage director for movie sets and since he lived by the Berlin airport, the young Coloani always watched airplanes taking off. He liked making things with clay and these experiences contributed to Colani's world of design.
technology and art intertwines in Luigi Colani's groundbreaking designs.
Some critics say that he is a designer from outer space because his design are used in everyday life.
His inspiration comes from nature: organic creatures, see creatures, and even from sexual images.
He takes the curves from nature, amplifies it, and uses it in his designs.
What you cannot find in any of the things he has designed is a straight line.
He refuses to use any artificial lines in any of his designs.
As he talked about his design philosophy, he mentioned that his is inspired by nature, and there are no straight lines in nature.
"If you take a look at the beaches and the shores you would notice that there are no straight lines. All the lines in this world can only be expressed by curved lines." Bauhaus of Germany would not be able to understand his design philosophy.
He said the Asian culture had more flexible lines.

Korean Poem "Greass"

Korean Poem "Greass"

Su-Yeong Kim

The grass is lying flat.
Fluttering in the east wind
that brings rain in its train,
the grass lay flat and at last it wept.
As the day grew cloudier,
it wept even more and lay flat again.

The grass is lying flat.
It lies flat more quickly than the wind.
It weeps more quickly than the wind.
It rises more quickly than the wind.

The day is cloudy, the grass is lying flat.
It lies low as the ankles low as the feet.
Though it lies flat later than the wind,
it rises more quickly than the wind and
though it weeps later than the wind,
it laughs more quickly than the wind.
The day is cloudy,
the grass's roots are lying flat.

Song of Peace

A Song of World Peace

What is the culture we should create in this generation?

It is just a Song of Peace.

I like world of Love, Peace, Freedom.

Peace does not belong no anyone, among mankind,
it is something that possesses the highest universal value which all of us must enjoy.

There is an ideology which quietly flows under this generation we are living in.

It is the song of peace.

I wish for peace.
hope for world Peace
I long for Peace, Love and Freedom.

What about you?

'Back to Heaven' Korean Poem

Korean Poem
'Back to Heaven'

by Sang-Byeong Cheon

I'll go back to heaven again.
Hand in hand with the dew
that melts at a touch of the dawning day,

I'll go back to a heaven again.
with the dusk, together, just we two,
at a sign from a cloud after playing on the slopes

I'll go back to heaven again.
At the end of my outing to this beautiful world
I'll go back and say: it was beautiful...

Personally, I like this poem, Back to Heaven.
 How about you?
