The Legislate Peace Campaign
Calls on World Leaders
and Governments

500,000 signatures collected for the Legislate Peace Campaign

300,000 people gathered simultaneously in hundreds of cities including Seoul, New York City, Sydney, and Shanghai for the 3rd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace: Legislate Peace Campaign hosted by HWPL on 25 May 2016 in their respective time zones.

This year’s commemoration at the World Peace Gate in Seoul Olympic Park highlighted the global peace advocacy movement, Legislate Peace Campaign, recently launched to bring all wars to an end by establishing an enforceable law compatible with the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW).

The DPCW is unique in that it includes provisions aimed at resolving conflicts, reducing war potential, repurposing weapons to benefit humanity and inviting all citizens to participate in the active promotion of a lasting culture of peace.

The Legislate Peace Campaign calls on global citizens to unite as one to voice their demand for peace by adding their signatures. According to HWPL, as of May 25th, the collected signatures have exceeded 500,000 from 154 countries in less than two months and many heads of state have written official letters of support for the DPCW. The number of signatures is expected to reach 2,000,000 by the end of this year.

“Today, marking the 3rd anniversary, at this very moment, our family of peace must be having their eyes and ears in this place…What we are ought to leave to our future generations is the common good of mankind, peace. There is no greater legacy than peace and it is not achieved by one person. Therefore, we all must become messengers of peace,” said Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL in his commemorative address.

Since the proclamation of the Declaration of World Peace on 25 May 2013, HWPL has proposed its international law initiative. It is to draft a legally binding instrument which ultimately promotes a culture of peace and ceases all wars through the DPCW so that all states would adopt it as national law. A Korean youth leader said at an interview, “The organization has already made great progress in achieving its peace initiatives. It’s exciting to see what the next work will be.”

The event in Seoul was live streamed through the HWPL homepage and real-time photos and videos have been posted on the Legislate Peace Campaign Facebook page.

Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), a UN DPI registered NGO, is an internationally recognized peace organization. It has pioneered various peace activities including the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office, as well as held peace education seminars, peace walks, and peace forums with the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) and International Peace Youth Group (IPYG).

3rd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace is an annually and internationally celebrated event to commemorate the proclamation of the Declaration of World Peace presented by Chairman of HWPL on 25 May 2013. The Declaration calls everyone to work to further the cause of world peace, making it a reality in their direct environments.

HWPL, New Framework for International Law Leading to Global Peace

HWPL, Revealing

for World Peace

HWPL, the New Framework for
an International Law Leading to Global Peace

Revealing the Declaration for Peace for the sake of Humanity

Proclamation Ceremony of the Declaration
on the Cessation of War and Achievement of World Peace

Seoul, Republic of Korea – The HWPL International Law Peace Committee, consisting of twenty highly respected international law experts, is to publicly present the Declaration on the Cessation of War and Achievement of World Peace on March 14, 2016.

Over 1,000 internationally-renowned figures representing various fields: legal affairs, politics, NGOs, and media have gathered at the Proclamation Ceremony of the Declaration on the Cessation of War and Achievement of World Peace in Seoul to witness and support the Declaration - the one that will draw a new framework for an international law leading to global peace.

The host organizations of the ceremony, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) together with the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) and the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG), aim to call the global community to stop wars and leave a legacy of world peace for future generations.

The Declaration on the Cessation of War and Achievement of World Peace is significantly unparalleled in that its core elements are on the most controversial issues such as prohibition on production, sales, and supply of all weapons; renunciation of possessing war potential; and religious conflict resolution.

The proclamation ceremony has served not only as a platform to proclaim such a Declaration to the public but also to initiate its development process into an enforceable International Law, bringing forth a world without wars.

The Proclamation Ceremony of the Declaration on the Cessation of War and Achievement of World Peace have streamed live to the entire world on 14 March.

HWPL believes that the global community should work together to create a world of peace and that they, themselves, should all become messengers of peace. Global citizens transcending nationalities, ethnicities, and religions are increasingly joining the flow of making our world more peaceful with their commitment to help establish HWPL's International Peace Law.

There was a time when there were no universal human rights. No one could have imagined but today we all take it for granted. In the same way, no one can imagine the Declaration on the Cessation of War and Achievement of World Peace but one day our future generations will take it as a given as well.

which is the initial announcement in mankind history;

On February 27,2016, IPYG & PYON, Peace Walk In Kano
The Peace Walk unrolled with the theme of ‘Urging the International Law’ by IPYG & PYON, with the youth shouting “PEACE! PEACE!!” ceaselessly.

On February 27,2016, peace walk was hosted in Bayero university in Kano, Nigeria by IPYG & PYON. The international organisation, Heavenly culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL) has announced the solution of cessation of war with enacting the international law and the peace walking event was hosted to support it. About 100 members of International Peace Youth Group and PYON participated in the event.

The event was opened by reciting ‘the declaration of world peace’ which is the initial announcement in mankind history; HWPL chairman Man Hee Lee who has released it. Continually, the youth with smiling face full of hope shouted “PEACE!” during the peace walking journey.

Here is some of the Declaration of World Peace:

The Heavens and the Earth formed by the hands of the Creator have been given to humanity as an inheritance.

In all the universe, life in its vast splendor exists only on our world.

The life that grows on the earth is sustained from above – by light, by the rain, and by the air they provide unconditionally to all living beings.

We have received the precious gift of life from above, let us give glory to heaven, and live in peace on earth. This is the truest teaching of heaven.

With this eternal gift – the grace and life we have received – are we entitled to fight, kill and destroy one another?

We cannot claim to desire peace and continue to provoke one another, causing conflict for the sake of valuing our own national interests above those of others.

This will only take the lives of the youth, wasting them in the futility of war. This is not a legacy we can leave to future generations.

Of what use is a young life, born in our day and age, if it is thrown away in this manner – thrown away without having had a chance to bloom?

What price can compensate for the loss of a life?

Do these young souls have another chance at life?

With HWPL and IPYG’s belief that peace has to be achieved for the future generation and the whole youth in the world should participate in peace events. Especially, many meaningful peace events such as peace walking, World Alliance of Religions Peace Office and peace forum are being held in Nigeria, too. IPYG wants that peace is activated more consistently and extensively in all regions.

Meanwhile, IPYG is a youth organization comprised of many affiliated youth groups working for world peace. They have over 600 youth group partner affiliates in 101 countries worldwide, and now are working various peace activities with them. To urge world peace and cessation of war, IPYG’s youth leaders of the world are cooperating with each other and they are hosting peace events.

On the Declaration of Peace

When the long glowing sun sets foot on that mountain
the moon gently comes step by step

How beautiful it is, even in the moonlight
The stone walls in each alley greet the moonlight

When the winter snow sits gently
The soft and comfortable white color lulls the strong wind

Born in the land of so many beautiful dreams,
am I not a happy person?

Living in the land of wide oceans and a blue sky,
am I not a happy person?

<The sound of the river, mountains, and leaves>

Am I not delighted that everything around us is so beautiful?
The sound of the wind-flower and wild herbs getting wet

Is my heart not delighted for even
how beautiful the pains of youth are?

Born in the land of so many beautiful dreams,
am I not a happy person?

Living in the land of wide oceans and a blue sky,
am I not a happy person?

The roots of a tree that endured the harsh winter
it is green because of its longing for spring

Green and greener
Grow numerous leaves and
Spread your branches to reach the top of the sky

Born in the land of so many beautiful dreams,
am I not a happy person?

Living in the land of wide oceans and a blue sky,
am I not a happy person?

Beautiful Country

There’s A Place In Your Heart And I Know That It Is Love

And This Place Could Be Much Brighter Than Tomorrow

And If You Really Try You’ll Find There’s No Need To Cry

In This Place You’ll Feel There’s No Hurt Or Sorrow

There Are Ways To Get There, If You Care Enough For The Living

Make A Little Space Make A Better Place…

Heal The World Make It A Better Place

For You And For Me And The Entire Human Race

There Are People Dying

If You Care Enough For The Living

Make A Better Place For You And For Me

Let’s create a clean and better world for you and me

Let’s create a happy and brighter world for you and me

There may be pain and sadness, but as long as we are together we can accomplish even the most difficult tasks

For You And For Me And The Entire Human Race

There Are People Dying

If You Care Enough For The Living

Make A Better Place For You And For Me

And The Dream We Were Conceived In Will Reveal A Joyful Face

And The World We Once Believed In Will Shine Again In Grace

Then Why Do We Keep Strangling Life

Wound This Earth Crucify Its Soul?

Though It’s Plain To See This World Is Heavenly

Be God’s Glow

Heal The World Make It A Better Place

For You And For Me And The Entire Human Race

There Are People Dying

If You Care Enough For The Living

Make A Better Place For You And For Me

You and for me

To Foster a Culture of Peace

Calls for Global Peace Get Louder
& To Foster a Culture of Peace

“As youths, we have questions such as: why do we have wars? Who is benefiting?
When will they end. Indeed now is the time for all of us to aspire for world peace,”
- Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL

From Victoria Ruzvidzo in SEOUL, South Korea

The quest for global peace and harmony escalated yesterday with the historic launch of the proclamation of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War here yesterday, to bring an end to global armed conflicts and attendant challenges.

The event was witnessed by more that 1 000 senior government officials, legal experts, civic leaders, the academia and other stakeholders from across all continents.

Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku
Zimbabwe was represented by Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku, who was acknowledged during the ceremony as one of the most senior legal experts in attendance. World leaders are now expected to sign and adopt the declaration that will bind them towards fostering peace.

Spearheaded by South Korea’s Mr Man Hee Lee, chairman of the Heavenly Culture, World Peace and Restoration of Light (HWPL), the declaration was the culmination of months of formulation and global campaigns by an international law peace committee made up of 20 law experts.

Furthermore, it would seek to foster a culture of peace.

“Heads of state and heads of governments should acknowledge that they are uniquely well-placed to encourage a culture of peace, and should act to support this declaration to bring about the cessation of war,” read the declaration.

Wars in Syria, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Afghanistan, Libya and those in other parts of the globe have deprived humanity of development while millions of lives have been lost.

This state of affairs was described yesterday as untenable, robbing the planet of its potential.

The declaration also seeks to prohibit the production, sales and supply of all weapons and the training of war potentials.

It also seeks to represent the voices of women and the youth, the most vulnerable in armed conflict.

“This work of peace is a task someone must take on. It is a path that leads to peace, so we must continue to look at it. We have come together to eradicate wars from the face of the earth. We must raise our voices against wars,” declared Mr ManHeeLee.

“Just as water drops merge to become a huge thunderstorm that covers an entire area, our collective voices will become a thunderstorm that wipes away the world tainted with the atrocities of war and brings out a new era of peace.”

Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL
The HWPL chairman, ManHeeLee said he had traversed the globe 24 times talking about peace and he was confident his efforts would yield much.

HWPL was established a few years ago to foster peace in a world fraught with conflict. Its arms, the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) and the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) have also been in the forefront of eliciting support for peace within their respective constituencies.

An IPYG representative from the Phillipines drew sympathy from delegates when he said many youths and children were caught in the conflicts and yet they did not understand why there was so much conflict.

“As youths, we have questions such as: why do we have wars? Who is benefiting? When will they end.

“Indeed now is the time for all of us to aspire for world peace,” he said.

“A perfect world of peace will be achieved. I believe that. We pledged to be united before God . . . before all the citizens for it to be an earth with a heavenly framework.

In order to accomplish the collective wishes of all humanity, we have gathered here today. This very moment at this very place will never be forgotten in the history of mankind for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War will be publicly proclaimed.

All citizens of this globe will have to gather their hearts to acknowledge and urge this declaration to embrace the new era and the new life full of peace,” said Mr ManHeeLee.

The declaration seeks to dispose the world of all armed conflicts and dis-empower those that seek to initiate war.

Its core elements include the prohibition of the threat or use of force, eradication of the likelihood of war, development of friendly relations in accordance with the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2526 (XXV) and refraining from military, political, economic or any other form of coercion against territorial integrity or political independence of another state.

Leaders present at the launch of the declaration yesterday pledged total support for the restoration of global peace and said it was critical that everyone adopted the declaration, seen as a powerful tool to attain peace and restore human dignity.
