Man Hee Lee, Who is he?

Man Hee Lee
                                                                                   Man Hee Lee
                                       Man Hee Lee

Man Hee Lee,

Who is he?

He was given a name meaning “light”. Why was he given such a name? Before his birth, in a dream his grandfather
saw the ray of strong light separating the dark sky and descending upon the mother of his grandson.
Having had this extraordinary dream, his grandfather decided to name his grandson “light” before birth.

Man Hee Lee, he is a descendant of the Korean royal family, who was sent from heaven as the light of love.

Born to a poor peasant family on September 15, 1931, he was given a name meaning “light”. Why was he given such a name? Before his birth, in a dream his grandfather saw the ray of strong light separating the dark sky and descending upon the mother of his grandson. Having had this extraordinary dream, his grandfather decided to name his grandson “light” before birth.

Chairman of HWPL, Man Hee Lee he has come as a precious bowl (the bowl of heaven) that stores the wisdom and the commands from heaven, and the seed of the culture of heaven. That which can make this known to people is his wisdom and the word of heaven he has mastered. In addition, people have known and realized the value of this person through various cultural festivals that served as the light. The divine being of heaven is capable of displaying and accomplishing what no one else on this earth can accomplish within a brief instant.

Religious leader Man Hee Lee solved the religious conflict, the island of Mindanao in the Philippines suffered about 40 years of warfare between the Muslims and the Catholics. In January of 2014, peace advocate also the Chairman of HWPL, solved this problem.

Mr. Man Hee Lee peace advocate of HWPL~ and ~Peace his work

When it comes to war, it is not the presidents, ministers, or legislators who go to fight. It is the young men who go to fight and die. How will this regrettable death be compensated for? We requested cooperation for our work of petitioning for the ‘ending war and for world peace and the restoration of light,’ and to have it turned into an international law, this is something they would do if they truly loved peace, their country and their people. They agreed to and signed the petition.

Chairman of HWPL Man Hee Lee who fulfills world peace and restoration of light through the culture of heaven, was a Korean War veteran, who fought in the frontlines. Having been deeply deplored over the tragedy of the fratricidal war and the death of the citizens of his own, Chairman Lee refuses to take any money that the Korean government provides monthly for former war veterans. He is a peace activist who loves his own nation and citizens, and works vigorously in effort to bring peaceful unification to the Korean peninsula.

While watching the tragedy of the fratricidal war, Chairman Lee made up his mind before his dying comrades that he would accomplish world peace and restore the lost light for his own country and citizens. He has never stopped praying before God, asking for His help. Nothing has stopped him from praying because Chairman Lee believed that God would be capable of bringing world peace, and that it would be feasible if God would help, and that heaven would be capable of providing wisdom and the tools to accomplish world peace.

Why, why and why did young men around the world have to die?

For whom did they have to die? The sacrifice of their lives is greater than the universe. The wish of the deceased souls was surely the world peace and the restoration of light. Their wish must have been to live in a world without war and without death. Everyone living in this globe is one family that surpasses national borders, races or religions. Why do we have to fight against one another? Why do people have to kill others’ lives that are granted by the light, rain and the air from heaven?

If religions of the world are united, the world will also be unified. In order for the religions to be united, all religions must be overcome by the truth. The truth of the culture of heaven belongs to heaven, and it must be given from heaven.

Mindanao Peace Monument

It has a big white dove perched on a globe spreading its wings – called the Mindanao Peace Monument – as the people’s way of expressing their quest for a lasting peace in the region, that is by the advocacy group Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) led by South Korea peace activist Man Hee Lee of HWPL.

The unveiling of the monument was one of the highlights during Monday’s Peace Summit.

Religious leader Man Hee Lee’s group has been one with the Mindanao Bishops-Ulama Conference, in his group’s attempt to help various religious groups come to an understanding as far as peace is concerned.

Peace maker Man Hee Lee, in his speech, stressed that 80 percent of armed conflicts around the world is rooted on religious differences.

“If we all believe in one God, then religion is not the problem,” he stressed during a translated speech at the peace summit.

Peace advocate Man He Lee said the efforts and stand of Maguindanao province and its people calling for peace and supporting the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) are a way forward into achieving the dream of every peace-loving individual.

During the event, Maguindanao province and Lee’s group agreed to celebrate every 24th of January as international day of peace or HWPL day where they signed a peace covenant.

Before the monument unveiling, participants first had a peace march from the Buluan Gym going to the Rajah Buayan Peace Center. Also participating were children and the security sectors waving flaglets and placards containing peace messages.

Among those present at the peace summit and delivered their messages of support were Sheik Khalifa Nando of the Shariah Supreme Court of the MILF Central Committee, Bishop Antonio Ledesma of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro, and retired Marine commanding general Benjamin Dolorfino, who was dubbed as “peace warrior” because of his distinct approach at dealing with the Mindanao insurgency.

The three highlighted the aspiration of the Moro people to achieve peace in Mindanao, and expressed their belief that the BBL will play a crucial role in attaining peace and stability in the island.

Sixteen-year-old Narimbai Utto, who represented the youth sector, expressed that she could not bear watching young boys forced to stop going to school to work as “padyak” drivers or to work in the farms to help their families make both ends meet.

Utto was the class valedictorian of Tukanalipao National High School, in the same village where the Mamasapano encounter took place last January. Sixty-four people died during the clash, including 44 from the police’s Special Action Force, 17 from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, and three civilians.

Utto said the war has made them even poorer because displacements continue to hamper their livelihoods and worsened their living conditions.

She appealed for the passage of the BBL and to stop the war, and instead address the welfare and education of Mindanao’s youth.

Dr. Alicia Manandog, of the Sultan Kudarat State University, in her speech representing the women sector, pushed for equality among tribes and religions, and not to treat women as second class citizens should the BBL be enacted into law.

Maguindanao Governor Esmael Mangudadatu, who is vocal in his campaign for the BBL, has appealed to all sectors to work together to achieve peace and give no chance for violence to happen again.

The governor recalled that during his youth, while helping her mother earn extra income with their ice candy store, armed men affiliated with rebel groups would come with pistols tucked in their waists.

“I don’t want the children anymore to grow in the culture of violence,” he said.

North Upi, Maguindanao Mayor Ramon Piang

said that since the BBL is being supported by majority stakeholders of Mindanao, then the Mindanaons should decide for their own and not be dictated by outsiders.

In overseas, just to mention a very few out of over 50 cities, the event took place in New York, San Francisco, and Berlin. The festival received much acclaim for extending its boundary of the practical peace activities by setting up a donation booth for Nepal Earthquake Relief and taking a time for moment of silence to honor and remember those lives lost in the recent disaster as well as wars throughout the history.

The commemoration event kicked off with watching a video which demonstrates astonishing achievements of Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL and Chairwoman of IWPG in the past two years in their endeavor to accomplish what is stated in the declaration. The video also presented the highlights of the World Peace Tour that Mr. Lee and HWPL’s peace delegation have undertaken in the past 3 years, visiting over 70 countries. The achievement of the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit was also showcased in the video. In addition, congratulatory speeches were delivered by high government officials and Ambassadors residing in Korea, followed by the congratulatory video of the heads of state, religious leaders, youth leaders, and international press who work with and support HWPL for the peace-building process. As for the last part of the program and the highlight of the commemoration, International Peace Youth Group Walk Festival was simultaneously launched around the world, gathering hearts of all participants yearning for world peace.

Mauricio Borges, an assistant labor attaché of Embassy of Timor-Leste to South Korea, said, “Peace is not an award. You have to work for it. Everyone is defending what they think it’s right and most of time people don’t really want to have dialogue for peace. But through today’s festival at the Seoul Peace Plaza, I felt the atmosphere of unity toward peace spreading out to the whole world. I am very impressed by the event and it is now my hope that people will work with HWPL bringing a world of peace.”
